About these terms

These terms describe the conditions for using SafePlate Korea. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

SafePlate Korea is an independent project run by one individual. It is not a company, a government service, or a public body. The date these terms were last updated is shown at the end of this page.

What the site does

The site builds a Korean order card from the allergy items and diet you choose, so that you can show it to restaurant staff. It also publishes guides and dish pages that describe where ingredients often appear in Korean cooking.

The site is free to use and has no sign-up or accounts. Your selections are handled in your browser as described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Limits of the information

The card, the guides, and the dish pages are general information for reference. Recipes and ingredients differ from one restaurant to another and can change without notice, so the site cannot tell you what is in a particular dish. Always confirm directly with the restaurant before you eat.

Nothing on the site is medical advice. If you have a severe allergy or another health condition, follow the advice of your doctor, and carry any medication you have been prescribed.

The Korean wording of the card is fixed text prepared in advance, and the versions of the site in other languages may contain translation errors or omissions. Text that you type into the free text field is placed on the card as you typed it, without translation or checking.

Your responsibility and ours

You decide how to use the card and the information on the site, and whether a dish is suitable for you. To the extent permitted by law, the operator accepts no legal liability for any incident, health reaction, loss, or damage arising from the use of the site or from reliance on its content.

The site is provided as it is, and it may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued at any time without notice.

Advertising and other organizations

The site shows advertising served by Google. Advertisers and the sites that their ads lead to are responsible for their own content, and showing an ad does not mean that the operator endorses it. How advertising uses cookies is explained in the Privacy Policy.

Guides may name outside organizations, such as tourism or certification bodies, so that you can look up current information from them. Their information and services are their own responsibility.

Corrections and changes to these terms

If you find an error in the Korean wording, a translation, or any other content, please report it by email. Corrections are made to the site once they are confirmed.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The updated version applies from the date it is published on this page.

Governing law, language, and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. They are provided in English, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean, and if the versions differ, the English version prevails.
